TIPWG Newsletter May/June: Suppressing the “Super Weeds”

Pesticide resistance is part and parcel of daily forestry and agricultural operations, with the list of superweeds growing – I am sure there are probably “super” pests and pathogens too if you look to our colleagues in the nurseries.

An article in Agriorbit provides some interesting pointers on how to prevent resistance, albeit for maize. The basics given in this article can be applied to any crop and are particularly relevant for the Forestry Sector where we perhaps need to be better equipped to manage outbreaks due to the limited pesticide products available in our armory to control them.
